LEONIX-SILKSHEEN
Type: A super quality enamel topcoat, designed for interior and exterior purposes. Based
on water borne acrylic polymer to replace the solvent based paints.
Features & Benefits: Leonix SilkSheen offers an excellent washability, excellent hiding power and levelling that gives the surface a nice Semi-Gloss finish. Its low VOC ensures indoor air quality and outdoor environment friendly conditions, and in-can antibacterial properties. Free from harmful chemicals such as Lead, Formaldehyde, APEO and heavy metals.
Recommended use: Specially designed for indoor and outdoor places, recommended for
residential areas and hotels, schools as well as light and moderate industrial structures.
Substrates: Concrete, masonry blocks, cement plasters, wood, gypsum boards etc.
Any substrate should be sufficiently consolidate and strong to receive the paint, severe defects, large cracks, bug holes or deep undulation should be rectified or filled prior to start coating. Tiny defects or hairy cracks are better to be fixed after applying Leonix Primer Sealer using Leonix Enduit or Leonix Gypsum putty. It is always strictly recommended to seal the putty coats before applying the top coat.

Leonix SilkSheen can be applied by:
Roller : Recommended
Spray : Conventional or airless spray
Brush : Recommended for corners, edges and tight areas.
Cleaning tools : Warm clean water
Film thickness per coat :
Wet film thickness 100 – 150 µm .
Dry film thickness 35 – 57 µm
Spreading rate: 7 – 10 m²/l , this depends on surface porosity, degree of dilution, imperfections and wastage during application.
Thinner: Clean water
Dilution: 10% maximum
Application conditions: Temperature of paint and surface should be at least +10°C, and 3°C above dew point of air. Good ventilation is required in confined areas for proper drying.
Drying time: Temperature, humidity, film thickness and air circulation significantly affect the drying time of the paint. In case of multi-coat application, drying time will vary according to the number and sequence of coats. The surface must be dry and free from any dirt or contaminants prior to paint application.

Directions for application
Surface preparation: The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance etc. All traces of form release agents/curing agents must be removed water jet and detergent. A light sanding with suitable abrasive tool is recommended before application. Any resulting dust/loose particles must be removed.
Primer: Leonix Primer Sealer, 1 saturating coat.
Filler : Leonix Enduit , 1 or 2 coats depending on the surface conditions.
Top coat: Leonix SilkSheen, 2 coats.
Notes: Other scopes can be
adopted.
Packages of different batch numbers must be mixed together before use.

Health and Safety
Most water based paint are safe to handle, but as general rules:
– Avoid skin and eyes contact by wearing overall, and goggles.
– Immediately remove the spillage on skin by clean water.
– Avoid inhalation of paint dust or mist.
– Painting should be carried out in well ventilated areas.
– Keep away of reach of children.
– Local safety regulations to be followed.
– Clean tools with warm and clean water.
Storage
– Store paint containers in proper conditions, follow the local regulations.
– Keep paint containers away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
– Store the paint well sealed away from any source of heat or ignition.
– Always handle with care.
– Stir well before use.
Shelf life
24 months, in original sealed container, with proper storage conditions
